The Cabildo Building In Salamanca - A Spanish Vintage Papercraft by Anteojito

This papercraft of the Cabildo Building, located in Spain, is quite old and was originally published over 50 years ago in a children's magazine called Anteojito, precisely on May 14, 1970. 

I found the templates on a collector's website dedicated to this publication, but unfortunately, I couldn't find the link at the moment. 

I know that there are many other papercrafts available on that site, making it very interesting for Spanish speakers.

I'll continue searching for the link, and as soon as I find it, I'll share it on the blog. 

The Cabildo Building papercraft consists of four sheets. When I attempted to assemble the 3D model in Sketchup, I noticed that the sheets had different dimensions, which wouldn't affect the 3D assembly but would cause issues when printing. 

The pieces would be in different sizes, making physical assembly impossible. To resolve this, I resized the sheets and merged everything into a single PDF file. 

Other than that, assembly is simple and intuitive, and I believe this model will be useful for school projects, dioramas, and wargames. 

 The Cabildo Building, located in Spain, is an important historical landmark situated in the Plaza Mayor of Salamanca. 

Built in the 18th century in Baroque style, it served as the administrative headquarters and meeting space for the city's municipal council. 

Its distinctive architecture and central location make it a symbol of Salamanca's history and culture. 

Over the centuries, the building has witnessed historical events and continues to be a cultural and tourist landmark in the region.

Este papercraft bem antigo do Edifício do Cabildo, na Espanha, foi originalmente publicado há mais de 50 anos atrás em uma revista infanto-juvenil chamada Anteojito, mais precisamente em 14 de Maio de 1970. 

Eu encontrei os templates em um site de um colecionador dessa publicação, mas não consegui achar o link no momento. 

Sei que lá há muitos outros papercrafts e é um site muito interessante para aqueles que falam o espanhol. Vou continuar procurando o link e assim que encontrar publico aqui no blog. 

O modelo de papel do Edifício do Cabildo é composto de quatro folhas. Quando fui montar o modelo em 3D no Sketchup, vi que as folhas tinham dimensões diferentes, o que não atrapalharia na montagem em 3D, mas que não daria certo na hora de imprimir. 

As peças ficariam em tamanhos diferentes, impossibilitando a montagem física. Resolvi isso redimensionando as folhas e unindo tudo em um único arquivo PDF. 

De resto, a montagem é simples e intuitiva e eu creio que este modelo será útil para trabalhos escolares, dioramas e wargames. 

O Edifício do Cabildo, localizado na Espanha, é um marco histórico importante, situado na Plaza Mayor de Salamanca. 

Construído no século XVIII em estilo barroco, serviu como sede administrativa e espaço de reuniões do conselho municipal da cidade. 

Sua arquitetura distintiva e localização central o tornam um símbolo da história e cultura de Salamanca. 

Ao longo dos séculos, o edifício testemunhou eventos históricos e continua a ser um ponto de referência cultural e turístico na região.

Castillo De Petrer In Spain Paper Model - by Constantino Callado

Created by Spanish designer and modeler Constantino Callado and offered by the official website of Petrer City Council, this is the paper model of Petrer Castle in Spain. 

The entire model occupies six printed sheets and there are two more sheets with instructions that, despite being only in Spanish, are very well illustrated. 

In the same file in PDF format you will find three more sheets with basic information (also in Spanish) about the history of the castle. 

If you are going to use this model for a school project or if you just want to know a little more about Castillo de Petrer, below I leave some things I discovered about it by searching the internet: 

The Castillo de Petrer, also known as Castillo de la Torreta, is a fortress located in the city of Petrer, in the province of Alicante, in the Valencian Community, Spain. 

The construction dates back to the Muslim period, with remains dating back to the 12th century. It was built by Muslims to protect the region and control the trade routes that passed through the area.

The castle's strategic hilltop location offers panoramic views of the surrounding region, which made it a crucial defensive position during the Middle Ages. 

After the Christian Reconquest of the region, the castle was conquered by Christians in the 13th century and underwent several expansions and renovations over the following centuries, reflecting changes in dominance and the defensive needs of the time.

Criado pelo designer e modelista espanhol Constantino Callado e oferecido pelo site oficial da Prefeitura de Petrer, este é o modelo de papel do Castelo de Petrer, na Espanha. 

O modelo todo ocupa seis folhas impressas e há mais duas folhas com instruções que apesar de estarem apenas em espanhol, são muito bem ilustradas.

Five Nights at Freddy's - Freddy Wearable Cardboard Mask - Tutorial With Templates - by Te Digo Cómo

Te Digo Cómo is a YouTube channel created by three creative Spanish friends who, in their own words, is "a channel where you will find the most surprising crafts and DIYs from films, series, video games... And it also carries out shocking experiments and spectacular inventions !" 

Today I present here one of their works, a Freddy Fazbear mask, from the video game series and now also from the cinema, Five Nights at Freddy's. 

In addition to the templates for the mask, the people at Te Digo Cómo also made a great video tutorial explaining in detail each step of assembling Freddy's mask.

Both in the video games and in the film, Freddy Fazbear is an animatronic bear feared for his unpredictability who is accompanied by Bonnie the Bunny, an agile rabbit and one of the first to move towards the player, and also by Chica the Chicken, a hen obsessed with food and pecking at the nosy ones. 

They are part of the pizzeria's group of animatronics that are challenges for the player to face, with their main task being survival during the game's nights.

Te Digo Cómo é um canal do Youtube criado por três criativos amigos espanhóis que, nas palavras dos próprios é "um canal onde você encontrará os mais surpreendentes artesanatos e DIYs de filmes, séries, videogames... E também realiza experimentos chocantes e invenções espetaculares!" 

Hoje apresento aqui um dos trabalhos deles, uma máscara do Freddy Fazbear, da série de videogames e agora também do cinema, Five Nights at Freddy's. 

Além dos templates para a máscara, o pessoal do Te Digo Cómo também fez um ótimo video tutorial explicando detalhadamente cada etapa da montagem da máscara do Freddy.

Tanto nos videogames quanto no filme, Freddy Fazbear é um animatrônico de urso temido por sua imprevisibilidade que tem a companhia de Bonnie the Bunny, um coelho ágil e um dos primeiros a se mover em direção ao jogador, e também de Chica the Chicken, uma galinha obcecada por comida e bicar os intrometidos. 

Eles fazem parte do grupo de animatrônicos da pizzaria que são desafios a serem enfrentados pelo jogador, sendo sua principal tarefa a sobrevivência durante as noites do jogo.

Railway Stations Of Pleslin And Pleurtuit Paper Models - by Secanda

These are the railway stations of Pleslin and Pleurtuit, new paper models created by my friend, the French designer and modeler Secanda. You will find many other unique paper models there, as can be seen on the last image of this post. 

About the railway stations of Pleslin and Pleurtuit, Mr. Secand said: - "The Dinan-Dinard line was a single-track train line of about twenty kilometers. It was put into service in 1887. It was managed by the Ouest-État network and then, from 1938, by the SNCF. The passenger service was stopped in 1986 and the line was definitively closed in 1992. The rails have now been removed and the old track has been converted into a greenway. 

In addition to its two terminus stations, the line had three small intermediate stations (Pleslin, Pleurtuit, Saint-Samson) plus a halt without significant infrastructure (Trémereuc). The passenger buildings (BV for Bâtiment Voyageurs in French) of the two most important intermediate stations on the line, those of Pleslin and Pleurtuit, still exist today but have been redesigned. That of Pleslin has been converted into a stopover gite and that of Pleurtuit is a part of the House of the local associations. 

The BV of the small Saint-Samson station is now a private residence. The two BVs of Pleurtuit and Pleslin, of the "three-doors" type, are strictly identical, except for one detail: the inversion of the platform side and the city side. 

The paper model therefore makes it possible to assemble one or other of these buildings, in their configuration from the beginning of the 20th century. Blank name plates and an alphabet are included in the model for possible personalization of the name plates by copy and paste." 

Some curiosities about Secanda and his creative process, in his own words: - "Secanda means "stuff to cut" in Latin language. I use just an old basic multilayer photo editor, that I use as a paper with pencil and compass. 

I don't use 3D editors because first I don't know at all how to use them and then I don't like very much the paper models made only with 3D tools. For my taste, they look often as nightclub mirror balls... 

For my taste again, it's better to feel the hand of the drawer even if the result is rougher and less perfect. However the real reason is maybe I'm too lazy or too stupid or too old, or the three in the same time, to learn how to use a 3D editor."

Estas são as estações ferroviárias de Pleslin e Pleurtuit, novos modelos de papel criados pelo meu amigo, o designer e modelista francês Secanda. Você vai encontrar muitos outros modelos exclusivos lá, como pode ser visto na última imagem deste post. 

Sobre as estações ferroviárias de Pleslin e Pleurtuit, o Sr. Secand disse: - "A linha Dinan-Dinard era uma linha ferroviária de via única com cerca de vinte quilômetros. Entrou em serviço em 1887. Foi gerido pela rede Ouest-État e depois, a partir de 1938, pela SNCF. O serviço de passageiros foi interrompido em 1986 e a linha foi definitivamente fechada em 1992. Os trilhos foram removidos e a antiga via foi convertida em via verde. 

Além das duas estações terminais, a linha contava com três pequenas estações intermediárias (Pleslin, Pleurtuit, Saint-Samson) mais uma parada sem infraestrutura significativa (Trémereuc). Os edifícios de passageiros (BV para Bâtiment Voyageurs em francês) das duas estações intermediárias mais importantes da linha, as de Pleslin e Pleurtuit, ainda existem hoje, mas foram redesenhados. O de Pleslin foi convertido em turismo rural de escala e o de Pleurtuit faz parte da Casa das associações locais. 

O BV da pequena estação Saint-Samson é agora uma residência privada. Os dois BVs de Pleurtuit e Pleslin, do tipo "três portas", são estritamente idênticos, exceto por um detalhe: a inversão do lado da plataforma e do lado da cidade. 

A maquete em papel permite assim montar um ou outro destes edifícios, na sua configuração do início do século XX. Placas de identificação em branco e um alfabeto estão incluídos no modelo para possível personalização das placas de identificação por meio de copiar e colar." 

Algumas curiosidades sobre Secanda e seu processo criativo, nas palavras do próprio: - "Secanda significa "coisas para cortar" em latim. Eu uso apenas um velho editor de fotos básicas multicamadas, que uso como papel, lápis e compasso. 

Eu não uso editores 3D porque primeiro eu não sei como usá-los e eu não gosto muito dos modelos de papel feitos apenas com ferramentas 3D. Para o meu gosto, eles parecem frequentemente com bolas espelhadas de discoteca ... 

Na minha opinião novamente, é melhor sentir a mão no desenho, mesmo se o resultado for mais rude e menos perfeito. No entanto, a verdadeira razão é que talvez eu seja muito preguiçoso ou muito estúpido ou muito velho, ou os três ao mesmo tempo, para aprender como usar um editor 3D."

Spanish Castle - A Vintage Miniature Paper Model - by Ediciones Boga

I was looking online for information about Editociones Boga, the company responsible for publishing this papercraft of a miniature castle when, after searching a lot and finding almost no relevant information, I ended up coming across the official website of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Government of Spain, where I learned that this model was published between 1961 and 1970, when the publisher launched a series on the market entitled "Construcciones Recortables Boga". 

There I also learned a little about the history of papercraft in Spain by reading the text that I reproduce below:

"Cut-outs are toys made of sheets of paper or cardboard, with figures to be cut out and assembled, and with very varied themes: dolls, soldiers, buildings, theaters, and even religious themes. 

Like practically all toys, they arrived in Spain from Europe, through France. 

Its origin is in the plates with rows of soldiers that appear in Catalonia at the end of the 18th century. 

But it was not until the middle of the 19th century that they became a children's entertainment and toy, reaching great development in the first half of the 20th century."

Eu procurava na internet informações sobre a Ediciones Boga, a companhia responsável pela publicação deste papercraft de um castelo em miniatura quando, depois de procurar bastante e não encontrar quase nenhuma informação relevante, acabei me deparando com o site oficial do Ministério da Cultura e do Esporte do Governo da Espanha, onde fiquei sabendo que este modelo foi publicado entre os anos de 1961 até 1970, data em qua a editora lançou no mercado uma série entitulada "Construcciones Recortables Boga". 

Lá também fiquei sabendo um pouco sobre a história do papercraft na Espanha lendo o texto que abaixo reproduzo: 

"Os recortáveis são brinquedos feitos de folhas de papel ou papelão, com figuras para serem recortadas e montadas, e com temáticas muito variadas: bonecos, soldados, prédios, teatros e até temas religiosos. 

Como praticamente todos os brinquedos, chegaram à Espanha vindos da Europa, passando pela França. 

A sua origem está nas placas com filas de soldados que aparecem na Catalunha no final do século XVIII. 

Mas só em meados do século XIX é que se tornaram entretenimento e brinquedo infantil, atingindo grande desenvolvimento na primeira metade do século XX."
